The Castle in Kwidzyn, a branch of the Malbork Castle Museum
Built at the end of the 14th century, the castle in Sztum was the seat of the mayor, a local Teutonic official. Compared to other Vogt castles, this was a rather unusual layout, mainly due to the size of the courtyard and the lack of an outer bailey. Another distinguishing feature was the location of the house of the great masters - the residence of the head of the Teutonic state. In the post-war period, it served various functions to finally become a branch of the Castle Museum in Malbork in 2018.
