REGULATIONS FOR VISITING THE KWIDZYN CASTLE
TEMPORARY REGULATIONS FOR VISITING THE KWIDZYN CASTLE BRANCH OF THE MALBORK CASTLE MUSEUM

 

These visiting regulations (hereinafter referred to as the “Regulations”) define the rules for visiting the Castle in Kwidzyn, located at ul. Katedralna 1, 82-500 Kwidzyn, hereinafter referred to as the “Museum”.

1. The Museum is closed on Monday.

2. We invite you to the Museum from Tuesday to Sunday.

3. The museum is open from 9:00-15:00. Last entry at 14:00.

4. Approximate visiting time approx. 1 hour.

5. Tuesday is a day of free sightseeing. There are no entrance fees on this day

and only the fee for the audioguide in the amount of PLN 10 is charged.

6. Tickets are valid from Wednesday to Sunday:

a) normal ticket with an audioguide – PLN 26

b) reduced ticket with audioguide – PLN 20

c) a normal ticket without an audio guide – PLN 16

d) reduced ticket without an audioguide – PLN 10

e) family ticket (2+2) with an audioguide – PLN 86

f) family tickets (2+2) without an audio guide – PLN 46

g) family tickets under the Big Family Card:

– normal ticket – PLN 20

– reduced ticket – PLN 15

h) holders of a volunteer card – PLN 15

i) children up to 7 years old – free admission

7. The “3 Castles” admission ticket is available, entitling you to visit three castles in

Malbork, Sztum and Kwidzyn.

The “3 Castles” ticket is valid for 14 days and entitles you to visit from Tuesday to Sunday

Castle Museum in Malbork along the Historical Route with a guide or audioguide,

Castle in Sztum with audioguide and Castle in Kwidzyn with audioguide.

The Castle Museum in Malbork is open from Tuesday to Sunday from 9.00 – 15.00 (last

entrance at 13.00), Castle in Sztum available from Tuesday to Sunday from 9.00 – 15.00

(last entrance at 14.00), Kwidzyn Castle available from Tuesday to Sunday from 9.00 – 15.00 (last entrance at 14.00).

The cost of the “3 Castles” ticket is:

a) normal ticket – PLN 100

b) reduced ticket – PLN 70

8. Educational classes conducted by museum educators – admission PLN 5

9. Children under the age of 13 may stay in the Museum only under the care of an adult.

10. It is recommended to use hand disinfection liquids placed by the organizer on

sightseeing route.

11. During the tour, you must follow the instructions given by the employees of the security services and employees of the Museum.

12. Tickets available at ticket offices and online. Please feel free to do so

financial transactions with payment cards.

13. Please show the documents entitling you to purchase discount tickets to the cashier before buying tickets.

14. A ticket purchased online must be printed or presented in electronic form.

15. The castle area is protected and monitored. Every person visiting the Museum is asked to follow certain safety rules.

16. The following prohibitions apply in the castle grounds:

a) touching exhibits and decorative elements,

b) entering the platforms, securing and strengthening, leaning over the railings and other protections, sitting on the walls, pushing, sliding, behaving loudly, posing a threat to people and the facility,

c) bring firearms,

d) bringing in dangerous and sharp objects,

e) bring in luggage and backpacks over 40 x 50 cm (note: before entering the Museum, authorized services have the right to inspect the luggage brought by visitors),

f) bringing in and bringing in animals (excluding guide dogs),

g) smoking tobacco and electronic cigarettes,

h) eating and drinking in the interiors and at exhibitions,

i) visiting after drinking alcohol or drugs,

j) littering in the castle grounds.

17. People with an assistance dog have access to the Museum, but due to difficult passages,

corridors and stairs, the passage of the entire route may be difficult to a large extent.

18. Due to architectural limitations of a historical nature, access to some

seats may be difficult for people with limited capacity and mobility and

in wheelchairs.

19. Due to the cobblestone surface and other architectural impediments, the Museum should be visited

in appropriate footwear.

20. On the premises of the Museum, visitors have the right to take commemorative photographs and amateur films.

21. It is possible to perform an occasional photo session during the opening hours of the Museum. The permit must be purchased at the ticket office in the amount of PLN 120.

22. The authorized persons referred to in Art. 10 sec. 3a of the Museums Act is entitled to

purchase discount tickets after presenting a document entitling to a discount.

23. Authorized persons referred to in Art. 10 sec. 3b of the Museums Act are exempt from paying entrance fees to the Museum. Free tickets are issued at the box office upon presentation of relevant documents.

24. The Castle Guard, based on the powers provided for in the Act on the Protection of Persons and Property

has the right to intervene and remove people who do not comply with the rules of visiting the Museum from the place of visit.

25. The Museum reserves the right to close the facility on certain holidays and other days around holidays, designated by the Director of the Museum by order and posted on the website www.zamek.malbork.pl

Final Provisions:

 

1. The Regulations are available on the Museum’s website www.zamek.kwidzyn.pl and at the Museum’s box office.

2. The purchase of a ticket to the Museum constitutes acceptance of these Regulations.

3. Failure to comply with these Regulations by visitors may be the reason for asking the visitor by the authorized services to leave the Museum.

4. The Museum reserves the right to change these Regulations. The amended Regulations will be made public on the Museum website www.zamek.kwidzyn.pl and at the Museum ticket offices.

5. Comments, complaints and requests regarding the activities of the Museum, its program offer and service for visitors and users of the services can be submitted at the Museum ticket offices and by e-mail to the following e-mail address: sekretariat@zamek.malbork.pl or rezerwacja@zamek.malbork.pl

6. Invoices are issued in accordance with applicable regulations for persons, institutions and business entities who have booked a visit in the online system or paid for admission to the Museum at the ticket offices.
